Roshi
ADHD, Dyscalculia, Dyslexia
Hi, I’m Roshi! I grew up in London and loved playing music, writing and learning all about how things work. At school I played sports, music and was in plays so it was very hectic. While studying my A-Levels I realised that studying at a very serious academic school wasn’t very kind to my brain. After a year break, I went on to study English, Film and Drama at university. The independence of university really worked for me and I loved studying. I graduated at the start of the pandemic and learned that I was neurodivergent. I worked in marketing for the gaming industry during the pandemic which was also a special interest of mine but something about learning more really drew me back into education. My special interests include plants and growing food, photography, Pirates, Joan of Arc, Music, Theatre, Philosophy, Books (although I’ve learnt listening to them really helps me), Films/TV, Gaming, you name it! At Uncommon, I’m one of the facilitators of Understanding my Brain. I think I developed a hyperfixation on having ADHD and what being neurodivergent was like and I also really love getting to talk to other neurodivergent young people and helping them feel less alone!
